Yevhenii O. Rolduhin (Tunhus)

27-year-old combat medic Yevheniy Rolduhin (call sign Tungus) was killed on September 11, 2022, near the village of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region. He was trying to save a wounded comrade. Yevheniy was born in the city of Khmelnytskyi. He stu at the Geography Department of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University. He was a candidate for the title of Master of Sports in pankration and held a purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, which was posthumously upgraded to black. He wrote poetry and authored a book about the war titled "Time of the Brave." He was an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity, after which he went to war as part of the volunteer battalion "Holy Mary" in the area of Mariupol. In 2015, he joined the "OUN" battalion and went to the village of Pisky near Donetsk. During breaks between rotations, he managed to go home and take exams at the university, as he promised his mother that he would graduate. "You know, it's one thing to be aware of all this, and another to try to act so that the war in Donbas ends. Yes, I could probably leave the country, as some of my acquaintances do, not seeing any prospects for myself in Ukraine. Maybe, if it weren't for the war, I would have dared to take such a step as well. But when there is a real war in your homeland, we all need to do something to protect the country," Tungus said in 2016. When the full-scale war began, Tungus participated in the defense of the Kyiv region as part of the "Brotherhood" battalion. He was wounded in Chernihiv region. After treatment, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of combat medic in the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa. "Zhenya was and is a bright example of courage and patriotism. He was a strong athlete, a talented writer, and a poet. And for me, he was the love of my life and the best guy in the universe," said the deceased's girlfriend, Olena. "In this war, time is counted not by days and months, but by the losses of friends... Yevheniy Rolduhin (Tungus). was killed in Kharkiv region, saving a wounded comrade. I thank fate that we fought side by side in Pisky. I'm sorry I wasn't there at the last moment and couldn't protect you. Rest in peace... Send greetings to our heavenly OUN brotherhood..." wrote a comrade with the call sign Lyman. The warrior was buried in his hometown of Khmelnytskyi. On September 24, 2022, Senior Soldier Yevheniy Rolduhin was posthumously awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of the Khmelnytskyi City Territorial Community." Yevheniy is survived by his parents, grandmother, and beloved girlfriend.
