Yevhenii O. Suvorov

Senior Soldier Yevhenii Suvorov was killed on April 18, 2022, during an offensive near the village of Novotoshkivske in Luhansk region. The life of the fighter was cut short by a bullet from an enemy sniper. The defender was 36 years old. Yevhenii was born in the city of Kirovohrad (now Kropyvnytskyi). He graduated from local school No. 26. He obtained the profession of auto mechanic at a technical school. He worked in his specialty. At the time of the full-scale invasion, Yevhenii was at work in Kyiv. He immediately decided to go to his hometown and a few days later went to the military enlistment office. He was assigned to the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Koshovyi Otaman Kostiantyn Hordienko and went to the front. He served in the mortar battery. "It's hard to believe, Zhenya... May God comfort the hearts of his family," wrote acquaintance Alla. "It's painful to realize the cost of our independence... The cream of the nation, the pride of the country, the Heroes of Ukraine are giving their lives for all of us. Our heavenly legion will forever remain in our memory," added fellow countryman of the deceased, Tetiana. The defender was buried on the Alley of Glory at the Rivniane Cemetery in his native Kropyvnytskyi. Yevhenii is survived by his mother, sister, and nephew. Posthumously, Senior Soldier Yevhenii Suvorov was awarded the Order of "Courage" III degree.
