- Paratrooper Yevhen Tarandushka was killed on September 21, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Maksymilianivka in the Donetsk region. The defender was 24 years old. Yevhen was from the village of Ukrainka in the Mykolaiv region. He lived in Mykolaiv. From childhood, he showed abilities in music, played the trumpet in the orchestra, was a host at celebrations, worked as a bartender, and so on. Later, he enrolled at the Mykolaiv National Agrarian University, where he studied to become an energy engineer. Subsequently, he briefly worked for the "Nova Poshta" company. But Yevhen chose a different path: he became a military paratrooper. In 2018, after his 3rd year, he took an academic leave and signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He underwent extensive training and then went to the ATO zone, first in the village of Vodyane in the Donetsk region, and then to other locations. On February 24, 2022, Yevhen met with his comrades-in-arms. He served in the reconnaissance company of one of the combat brigades and was a reconnaissance machine gunner. In battle, he detected concentrations of enemy manpower. He carried out especially important tasks. Yevhen was a great father, spending a lot of time with his children, going for walks with them, going fishing, and playing football with his older son. In the war, he went through all the circles of hell, assaults and attacks, and heavy defense against the powerful enemy offensive. They were thrown into the very heart of the inferno. They were in Sievierodonetsk, Lyman, and Marinka. They gave the enemy a good beating. Yevhen saved many lives, literally pulling his comrades out of hell. He was kind, going into the basements where people were hiding, treating the children to sweets, and telling them to learn English, as it would be very important for life in the new world after the victory. The warrior was buried in his native Mykolaiv region. At home, Yevhen was awaited by his wife and two sons. Posthumously, Senior Soldier Yevhen Tarandushka was awarded the Order of Courage, 2nd degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
