Yevhenii O. Zubyk

Evhenii Zubyk, born on November 24, 1989, in the town of Kazanka, Mykolaiv region. He studied at Kazanka Secondary School No. 4, completing 9 grades. Later, he studied at the Interregional Center for Professional Retraining of Released Military Personnel, where he simultaneously mastered the professions of radio mechanic for repair and maintenance of radio and television equipment and electrician for repair and maintenance of electrical equipment. From 2009, he studied at the Kryvyi Rih College of the National Aviation University in the specialty of "Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics". In 2010, he underwent practical training at the international airport "Boryspil". With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine on February 24, 2022, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 190th Battalion of the 123rd Separate Territorial Defense Brigade. On March 1, together with other military personnel, he was on duty at a checkpoint near the town of Bashtanka in the Mykolaiv region, was captured by Russian occupation forces, subjected to torture and execution. Buried on March 5, 2022, at the Kazanka cemetery.
