- Chief Sergeant Evgeniy Tantsyura (call sign Zhora) was killed in action on March 29, 2022, as a result of an airstrike while carrying out a combat mission in Mariupol. He was 46 years old. Evgeniy was originally from the city of Haisyn in Vinnytsia region. He received a higher economic education at the Odesa National Academy of Communications. He worked as a commercial director of children's goods stores and was involved in launching a children's store for the EVA chain. He loved sports, especially boxing. He lived in Odesa. In 2015, he took the oath and joined the guard company, and then signed a contract with the Azov regiment. On February 25, 2022, he arrived in Mariupol by order of his commander and defended the city until the end. He held the position of driver of the 1st platoon of the 1st rifle platoon of the rifle company of the separate special purpose regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine "Azov". He was awarded the Order of Courage III degree and the Medal for Military Service. "My father was an example in all spheres - he always proved that nothing is impossible. Funny and at the same time strict when necessary. He was a true friend to me. A patriot of Ukraine, he participated in public actions in Odesa and was a member of the organizations "Self-Defense Odesa" and "AutoMaidan Odesa," said Maxim Tantsyura. Evgeniy is survived by his wife and son. A street in his native Haisyn was renamed in his honor.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
