Yevhenii R. Brytvych (Yudzhyn)

Senior soldier Yevhen Bryvych (call sign Eugene) was killed on February 12, 2024 near the village of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region. His group went to clear the territories and came under fire. The warrior received multiple fatal wounds. In March, he would have turned 37 years old. Yevhen was born in the village of Stavyshche in the Kyiv region. After school, he served in the army. He worked in law enforcement. Later, he resigned and dedicated himself to computer technology. It was his hobby, which grew into his main job. He loved football very much and was a player of the local football team. He had been writing poems since his school years. After the start of the full-scale war, he joined the defense of the country as part of the 81st Separate Airmobile Brigade. At first, he held the position of a rifleman in the airmobile platoon of the airmobile company of the airmobile battalion, then became a storm trooper. "We miss Zhenya very much. So much has been left unsaid... Unfortunately, time cannot be turned back. Courageous, serious, never complaining, patient in any circumstances, fearless. I knew he would fight to the end, because he gave himself to any cause without a trace. Eternal memory to our Angel, soft clouds!" - wrote Ludmyla Bryvych, the wife of the deceased's brother. Yevhen was buried in his native village. The defender left behind a mother, a brother with a family, and a grandmother. Posthumously, Senior Soldier Yevhen Bryvych was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
