Yevhenii V. Basaraba

Soldier Yevhen Basaraba was killed on December 28, 2022 in battle with the occupiers near Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 25 years old. Yevhen was born in the village of Zelena Lipa, Chernivtsi region. He graduated from Perebykivtsi Secondary School. Then he served in the army. From the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion, Yevhen joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend Ukraine. He held the position of a sapper in the engineering and sapper platoon of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Major General Marko Bezruchko (military unit A4007). In the fall, he was awarded the medal "For the Defense of Avdiivka". "Always smiling, friendly, polite, he was a support for his comrades-in-arms at the front, for which he was respected. Yevhen was a bright, modest, decent person. He loved his native village, his fellow villagers. He was a reliable support for his parents. He loved his family very much: his father Viktor Illich, his mother Lesya Dmytrivna and his brother Viktor, who were never indifferent to other people's troubles, always participated in the volunteer movement of the community. They all prayed to God for the war to end soon, for their son, brother to return alive and healthy..." - said in the Klishkovetska community. The warrior was buried in his native village. Yevhen is survived by his parents and brother.
