- Soldier Yevhen Boichenko (call sign Boiok) died on March 20, 2023, in the Mechnikov Regional Clinical Hospital in Dnipro. A week earlier, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Nykyforivka in the Donetsk region, he sustained severe injuries as a result of enemy artillery shelling. The defender was 20 years old. Yevhen was born in the village of Petrushivka, Chernihiv region. He lived in the settlement of Parafiivka. After school, he studied at the Parafiivka Lyceum. He worked in construction in Kyiv. In his teenage years, he was passionate about football and participated in tournaments. He dreamed of continuing to actively engage in this sport after the war. At the age of 18, the young man was drafted into the military. After 3 months, he signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the ranks of the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Kostiantyn Ostrozkyi. He held the position of a grenade launcher assistant. He carried out combat missions in the area of the Joint Forces Operation. As part of his unit, he continued to defend Ukraine from the occupiers after February 24, 2022. He was awarded the "Veteran of War" distinction. "Zhenya was always a patriot of his country, strong, kind, and unbreakable in spirit. He loved children very much and planned to have a family, but didn't have time... We will never forget his eyes and beautiful smile. The best brother, friend, and son. We love him. Our angel," shared the sister of the fallen Yevhenia Boichenko. The young warrior was buried in the settlement of Parafiivka in the Chernihiv region.
