Yevhenii V. Kostenko

33-year-old soldier Yevhen Kostenko was killed on November 27, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission in the Luhansk region. Yevhen was born in the city of Zaporizhia. He stuwas killed at the local school. He obtained the profession of a welder at a vocational school. He served his mandatory military service. Later, he settled in the city of Dniprorудne in the Zaporizhia region. He worked at a mine extracting ore. He got married and started a family. During the full-scale invasion, the city of Dniprorудne was occupied by Russian troops. The Kostenko family moved to the city of Rivne. Yevhen found a job as a welder. In the fall, the man was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "Zhenya was incredibly kind, modest, and shy. He only opened up to people after some time. But in service, he found true friends. Many of them are now calling, offering help, because they know that Zhenya himself would never refuse to help," said his wife Anastasia. The defender was buried in Rivne. Yevhen is survived by his wife and two daughters.
