- 28-year-old shooter Yevhen Kratyuk was killed on December 13, 2022, while repelling an enemy attack near the city of Kreminna, Luhansk region. The warrior was initially considered missing. But the hopes of his relatives to see their hero alive were not fulfilled. Yevhen was born in the village of Krupove, Rivne region. In 2008, his family moved to the city of Kaharlyk in the Kyiv region. Yevhen was raised only by his mother. According to his relatives, he was an example, support, and pillar for his sister and brother. The guy graduated from the Rzhyshchiv vocational school. He worked as a construction worker. Later, he became a taxi driver. He planned to marry his beloved girlfriend. With the start of the full-scale invasion, Yevhen, without hesitation, went to the military enlistment office. There they told him to wait. And on March 3, he was mobilized. Yevhen defended the Motherland as part of the 27th Rocket Artillery Brigade named after Koshovy Otaman Petro Kalnyshevsky. He was a shooter. Initially, his unit was stationed in the Donetsk region, and then the military was transferred to the Luhansk region. Yevhen took part in fierce battles, repelling the advance of Russian invaders in the eastern direction. "He was a person who would never leave you in trouble. It so happened that Zhenya was killed. But thoughts about him will inspire us to further fight the enemy," said the deceased's comrade Roman Didyk. "He was very cheerful, always supported everyone, and could come to the rescue at any time. The soul of the company. He loved children very much, although he didn't have his own yet. His brother has a girlfriend with whom he planned a future. But fate decided otherwise. Zhenya never regretted going to war, because he was defending our future," shared the warrior's sister Veronika.
