Yevhenii V. Lamza (Dzhekson)

Soldier Yevhen Lamza (call sign Jackson) was killed on September 20, 2022 while performing a combat mission near the village of Novopetrivka in the Kherson region. The defender's life was cut short by enemy mortar shelling. At the beginning of September, the warrior turned 30 years old. Yevhen was born in the village of Babaikivka, Dnipropetrovsk region. He studied at the local secondary school. Then he graduated from the Tsarychansk vocational lyceum. He worked as a builder and had his own team. He was passionate about cars. He loved to spend his free time with his son. During the full-scale war, Yevhen became a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He fought in the ranks of the 60th Separate Mechanized Brigade. "He was an honest, kind and non-conflictual person. He always helped everyone. They spoke and speak only good things about Zhenya. Even his comrades-in-arms called him the 'lawyer of goodness and mercy'. He was also a true defender and a faithful son of Ukraine. From the first days of the war, he went as a volunteer, without having military service behind him. His words were: 'Who, if not me? I'm going to defend so that you can live in peace and goodness.' When he sent photos from the war, where he and his comrades-in-arms were wet and exhausted, I said: 'Zhenya, my dear, I feel so sorry for you.' And in response, I heard: 'It's nothing, it's trifles, the main thing is that you live in warmth,'" said the sister of the fallen Karyna. Yevhen was buried in the village of Novostroyivka, Dnipropetrovsk region. At home, his mother, sister, wife and son were waiting for him.
