Yevhenii Ye. Vasylets (Istoryk)

Yevgeniy Yevheniyovych Vasylets was born on March 6, 1993, in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. In 2010, he enrolled at Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University, where he studied history and law. He participated in the student protests in Kryvyi Rih during Euromaidan. After graduating from university in 2015, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After his military service, he worked as a history teacher at Kryvyi Rih Gymnasium No. 101. In September 2020, he rejoined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and became part of the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade "Kholodny Yar." In March 2022, he was killed in battles against the Russian army during Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. For his personal courage and selfless actions demonstrated in the defense of Ukraine's state sovereignty and territorial integrity, and his loyalty to the military oath, Yevgeniy Yevheniyovych Vasylets was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage III degree.
