Yevhenii Yu. Shepotynnyk (Shepot)

Gun commander Eugene Shepotinnik (call sign Shepot) was killed in action on July 30, 2022, in a battle in the area of the city of Selidovo, Donetsk region. The defender remained 26 years old forever. Eugene was born in the village of Oleksandrivka, Kirovograd region. He graduated from Kryvyi Rih National University with a degree in Computer Engineering. He loved tattoos. In 2020, Eugene decided to join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend his native country. Throughout his service, he learned a lot about military affairs. At the time of the full-scale invasion, Shepot served in the 56th separate motorized infantry Mariupol brigade. Together with his comrades, the man defended Donbass from Russian occupiers. When I remember him, the first thing that comes to mind is his words, which he constantly repeated: "Steppe and will - this is our Cossack destiny." He always said that he loves his country and we must defend it, because it is the land of our people. He had a passion for tattoos, had several tattoos, and each of them carried a deep meaning. The first one was made at the age of 16 - the inscription "Life without will does not happen." Another tattoo is a Cossack with sabers, which symbolizes courage and bravery. The next one is the image of Archangel Michael. But for some reason, God's power did not save the son of Ukraine, - said the warrior's beloved girl, Yelizaveta. The defender was buried in his native village in Kirovograd region. Eugene left behind his mother, two brothers, and his beloved girlfriend.
