- Born on August 16, 1990, in the village of Blahovishchenka, Dnipropetrovsk (now Dnipro) district of Dnipropetrovsk region. In 2007, he graduated from secondary school No. 2 in the village of Mykolaivka, Dnipropetrovsk (now Dnipro) district of Dnipropetrovsk region, and in 2009, he graduated from Dniprodzerzhynsk Industrial College (now Industrial College) of the Ukrainian State Chemical Technology University (city of Kamianske, Dnipropetrovsk region). He served his mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In April 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a mechanic-driver of a tank in the tank platoon of the 93rd Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade of Kharkiv, twice awarded the Order of the Red Banner, and the Orders of Suvorov and Kutuzov of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1302, the urban-type settlement of Cherkaské, Novomoskovsk district, Dnipropetrovsk region). From May 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Call sign "Kon." He repeatedly participated in combat operations and raids. He liberated settlements in Donetsk region and defended Donetsk airport. In October 2014, in the area of the village of Pisky, Yasynuvata district of Donetsk region, he was wounded in the leg during a mortar shelling and was treated in a hospital for some time. On February 4, 2015, as part of a tank crew, Senior Soldier Hunkov, under constant enemy fire, carried out a combat mission to clear a minefield. After completing the combat mission, during the withdrawal, his tank was blown up by a mine near the village of Opytne, Yasynuvata district of Donetsk region. Senior Soldier Hunkov was killed, and two other crew members were concussed. On February 9, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Blahovishchenka, Dnipropetrovsk (now Dnipro) district of Dnipropetrovsk region.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
