- Military servicewoman Yulia Chaika was killed on August 18, 2022, during an enemy rocket attack on the city of Zaporizhzhia. She was 38 years old. Yulia was born in the city of Marganets, Dnipropetrovsk region. She lived in Zaporizhzhia. She graduated from the economics faculty of the Zaporizhzhia State Engineering Academy. However, she dreamed of a creative profession, so she did not work in her specialty. The woman was actively involved in the life of the city, had a special opinion, often became the initiator of fierce discussions on social networks. Yulia was an initiative and principled member of the political party "Democratic Sokyra". She loved festivals, was a music lover. When the full-scale war began, Yulia joined the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine to defend the Motherland. The woman is remembered as a bright, sincere and energetic person. "We've known each other since the times when it seemed that you could turn this world around, there was enough time for everything, and everything could be changed. All this time you fought the imperfection of this world with your creativity, sincerity, empathy... You didn't give up this time either. Unfortunately, it's impossible to fix what happened," Anton Karnaukh, a friend of the defender, wrote. "Yulia was unstoppable. Everyone knew Yulia, and Yulia knew everyone. Fully corresponding to her surname, Yulia flew Zaporizhzhia and there was no one who wouldn't turn after her. Yulia was alive. Yulia constantly had new ideas and worked on them, because the universe was not ideal enough for her, and Yulia wanted to fix it. And she fixed it. As long as she could. Yulia was crazy. Nothing could stop Yulia. In principle, nothing. When Yulia thought something was right, she just did it, not paying attention to any obstacles. Even today, she wasn't stopped - she was just given the whole Universe. And a little silence," the "Democratic Sokyra" page wrote. "It's not scary to die, it's scary to lose the future of children," Yulia Chaika wrote on July 24, 2022. The military servicewoman was buried in the Zaporizhzhia region. The woman left behind a 10-year-old son, Mykyta.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
