- Staff Sergeant Yuri Biluk (call sign Bars) killed in action on March 7, 2022, during the defense of Kyiv region from Russian occupiers. He received fatal injuries during a hostile mortar attack in the area of the village of Horenka. On April 3, the defender would have turned 60. Yuri was born in the village of Tsybuliv, Cherkasy region. He received a professional education at Monyastyrysche College of Automobile Transport №25 and Uman Agricultural Technical College. He got married. In 1986 he graduated from the school of warrant officers of the Air Force. After training, he moved with his family to Dnipropetrovsk region. There he served in the technical-operational unit at the airfield. However, the family then returned to Cherkasy region, to the village of Dmytroshky. For 20 years, the man worked at the enterprise "Umanraiyagroposchadka". In 2014, Yuri, as part of the National Guard of Ukraine, took part in the ATO. On February 24, 2022, he went to the front for the second time. This time - with his son. He took the position of a shooter-medic in the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians and went to defend Kyiv region. "Yuri was an extraordinarily bright person with a kind heart and an open soul, a patriot with a keen sense of justice. It was always easy and safe with him! It was simple and confident with him! Yuri Bilyuk always knew exactly what he was fighting for and what he was ready to give his life for: for his family, for his home, for his city, for his country. Leaving earthly life and joining the Knights of the Heavenly Army, our hero continued to live in the hearts of his loved ones: his beloved wife, his beautiful and intelligent daughter, his brave son who continued his warrior's path, his loving grandchildren, and all Ukrainians who owe him their lives," noted in Monastyryska City Council. The warrior was buried on the Avenue of Heroes cemetery in Uman. Yuri left behind his mother, wife, son, daughter, and four grandchildren. For personal courage during the performance of combat missions, selfless actions, demonstrated in the defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath, Bilyuk Yuri Avksentyevich was posthumously awarded the Order "For Courage" III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
