Yurii A. Yeremeiko

Junior Sergeant Yuriy Yeremeiko was killed on November 23, 2022, while defending the Motherland on the front line. The defender was 53 years old. Yuriy was born in the village of Verenchanka, Chernivtsi region, in a family of teachers. He graduated from the local school. Later, he settled in the town of Kitsman. He worked in the local district state administration. During the full-scale war, Yuriy went to serve in the ranks of the 355th Training Mechanized Regiment of the 184th Training Center of the Lviv National Academy of Land Forces named after Petro Sahaidachny. He carried out combat missions on the front line. "Sincere condolences to the family... He was an honest person. Always smiling. An irreparable loss... This is my neighbor - a Hero of Ukraine! A great patriot! He went as a volunteer. He said he didn't want to wait for the damned enemy to knock on the door. He went to heaven as an angel," wrote Dariya Babyuk. "Sad news for the Shcherbyntsi as well. We have known Yuriy since childhood, a sincere and pleasant person, a good friend. We used to work at 'Kvarts', good memories of him. Sincere condolences to the family and loved ones. Heroes never die, he is with us forever! Eternal memory and the Kingdom of Heaven," wrote Halyna Antoniuk. "He was a wonderful son, father, husband, brother, nephew, and simply a good, sensitive, sincere person with a big heart and soul. May the good, bright memory of the deceased defender forever remain in the memory of all who knew him, loved, and respected him," said the Verenchanka village community. The defender was buried in the village of Borivtsi, Chernivtsi region. Yuriy is survived by his parents, wife, and daughter.
