Yurii A. Yevlashevskyi

Soldier Yuriy Yevlashevskyi was killed on November 11, 2023, while performing a combat mission in the city of Marinka, Donetsk region. The warrior remained forever 42 years old. Yuriy was born in the city of Nizhyn in the Chernihiv region. He graduated from the local school No. 10 and the vocational school No. 35. Then he served the mandatory military service in the settlement of Desna, Chernihiv region. He obtained the profession of a passenger car conductor at the Kyiv Railway Transport Technical School. This is how his over 20-year career on the railway began, where he worked in the carriage section of the Kyiv-Passenger station. At the beginning of the full-scale war, he actively participated in the evacuation of the civilian population, and on September 19, 2023, he began service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He defended the Motherland as part of the 79th Separate Airmobile Brigade."Yuriy was remembered by everyone as a hardworking and decent person, a loving husband and father," his colleagues from Ukrzaliznytsia said. They said goodbye to the warrior in the Cathedral of All Saints in the city of Nizhyn. He was buried in the local cemetery. Yuriy is survived by his wife Tetiana, son Rostyslav, father Anatoliy, and mother Valentyna.
