- Yuriy Rohovyi was killed in action on July 25, 2022, while performing a combat mission in Donetsk region. Near the village of Verkhnyokamyanske, the defender came under artillery fire and received fatal injuries. He was 43 years old. Yuriy was born and lived in the village of Fesivka, Chernihiv region. After school, he stuwas killed in action at the Kozelets College of Veterinary Medicine. Later, he graduated from the Kyiv National Agrarian University. He loved to be in nature and work on the land. He had known his wife Natalia since kindergarten. They had been friends for many years. After finishing school, they started dating. They got married in 2005. Later, twin sons were born to the couple. The family lived in Kyiv. Three years before the start of the full-scale war, they returned to Fesivka. At first, Yuriy went abroad to work. Then he got a job as a trade representative in his native village. During the full-scale invasion of Russian occupiers, the man stood up to defend the state in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 54th separate mechanized brigade named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa. He was a driver of the anti-tank guided missile platoon. Every day he tried to call his relatives. On July 22, he warned his wife that he was going on a combat mission and there might be no communication. "I love you, kiss you. Take care of the boys. I'll call you," were his last words to Natalia. Three days later, the warrior was killed in action. "I am very grateful to my beloved for every day of our shared life. For the care of our sons, whom he loved very much. For his courage, honesty, and fairness," says Natalia, the wife of the deceased. Yuriy was buried in his native village in Chernihiv region. The serviceman is survived by his mother, wife, and two sons.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
