Yurii L. Panasiuk

Reconnaissance officer Yuriy Panasyuk was killed on May 17, 2023, during assault operations near the village of Sacco and Vanzetti in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 33 years old. Yuriy was born in the village of Zghurivka, Kyiv region. He lived in the capital. He graduated from the Hryhoriy Skovoroda University in Pereiaslav and obtained a degree in physical education. For over 10 years, he instilled in children a love for sports. He worked as a trainer in one of the capital's gyms. He was a candidate for the sports master's degree in kettlebell lifting. At the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, the man voluntarily took up the defense of Ukraine. He joined the ranks of the 30th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Kostiantyn Ostrozkyi. He served in the reconnaissance company, performing complex tasks at the forefront, bringing victory closer. "Yuriy could not remain on the sidelines and from the first days of the full-scale invasion stood up to defend the state and his family. He honorably and with dignity fulfilled his military duty and remained faithful to the oath, the Ukrainian people, and Ukraine until his last breath. He sacrificed himself for the sake of victory in the struggle for freedom," said the deceased Yuriy's beloved Yulia. "Yuriy gave his life for the protection not only of Ukraine but of each of us. He will forever remain in our memory and in our hearts!" the university he graduated from noted. The defender was buried in his native village. He is survived by his parents, brother, and fiancée.
