Yurii L. Volianytskyi

Soldier Yurii Volianytskyi was killedon February 25, 2023, during a firefight in the area of the village of Fedorivka in the Donetsk region. On April 19, the defender would have turned 47 years old. Yurii was born in the village of Vyshnyvets, Ternopil region. He graduated from the Vyshnyvets Vocational Lyceum. He worked at a brick factory in his native village. He was married and dedicated his free time to his family. He adored his children. For the sake of the peaceful future of his loved ones and the country, the man joined the ranks of defenders during the full-scale invasion of Russian occupiers. Yurii held the position of rifleman in the 105th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "This loss has deeply affected all who knew the Hero. We bow our heads in deep honor of his feat and pay tribute to Yurii Volianytskyi. We express our sincere condolences to his family and loved ones. Our country is losing one of its sons who gave his life for the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine. His sacrifice will not be in vain - it inspires us to fight for peace and freedom. May the Heavenly Kingdom be granted to Yurii Volianytskyi, eternal memory and glory to him for his courage and sacrifice," said the Ternopil Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The warrior was buried in his native village. At home, Yurii was awaited by his wife and two daughters.
