Yurii M. Bedarev

Serviceman Yuriy Bedarev was killed on January 23, 2023, while on duty in Kharkiv. The defender was 33 years old. Yuriy was born and lived in the village of Girky, Volyn region. He studied at the local school. He loved technology and everything related to it. He was married and raised a son. In 2014-2015, he participated in the ATO in Donbas. Before the full-scale war, he signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 14th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Roman the Great. He was a senior mechanic. "For us, he will always be alive. He was, is, and will be the best dad and husband for us. He loved his only son very much and always told me to protect him. He was a very good person, helped everyone who asked him for something. We miss him very much. The son always says that his father did not die, but perished, that he is a Hero," said the fighter's wife, Oksana. The serviceman was buried in his native village. Yuriy is survived by his wife and son.
