- Senior soldier Yuriy Dobrotsky (call sign Svyazist) was killed on September 22, 2022, in a battle with Russian occupiers near the village of Berestove in the Donetsk region. The warrior was forever 30 years old. Yuriy was born in the town of Vorokhta in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. In 2010, he graduated from a local secondary school. After that, he served in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2014, he decided to go defend the country in Donbas. He participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO). From the first days of the full-scale invasion, Yuriy was called up to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of a gunner in a motorized infantry platoon in the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. He fought in the hottest spots of the front. "He fought until the last moment, was a true warrior, pulled his comrades out, always knew how to act in any situation. Comrades remember Yuriy with tears in their eyes. He became more than a brother to them. For me, he was also not just a brother. We were classmates, he was my childhood friend. We always shared our experiences, successes, and failures. Just, honest, smart, loyal, and most importantly — a real man. Always smiling and positive. Selfless. He rushed to help at any time. A person with a capital letter. With a bright soul and a sincere heart. He was never afraid of anything. He considered it his duty to defend the country. Until the end! Until victory! These were his words! He was not afraid of death! Yura was a very kind and caring person, always took care of his loved ones. Unfortunately, you never saw the first steps of your little son, whom you always called 'my little boy.' But we know that you are watching over us from the heavens! You are our Angel! We love you, we mourn! Our Hero! Hero of Ukraine! A hero for his son! I am proud to have had such a brother! Forever in our hearts and memories!" wrote the deceased's cousin, Oksana. The warrior was buried in his hometown. At home, his wife Oksana, son Makariy, parents Mykola and Alla, brother Yaroslav, sisters Ivanna and Anna, niece Nadiya, relatives, friends, and comrades were waiting for him.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
