Yurii M. Tsaryk

Senior flamethrower Yurii Tsaryk was killed on August 8, 2022, in a battle with Russian occupants in the area of the village of Bohorodychne, Donetsk region. The defender was only 28 years old. Yurii was born in the village of Kyselev, Chernivtsi region. He graduated from the Kyselev Comprehensive School. In 2012, he was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the separate presidential brigade named after Bohdan Khmelnytsky. Since childhood, he was fond of football. He played in the championship of Ukraine for Chernivtsi "Bukovina", for amateur teams of Chernivtsi region: "Bukovina-2", "Kyselev", "Borivtsi", as well as for FC "Probiy" (Horodenka, Ivano-Frankivsk region). Friends, acquaintances, and fellow villagers remember that Yurii was a true patriot of Ukraine, a man with a big heart, always cheerful, smiling, communicative, sincere, kind, welcoming, and energetic. He was a true leader who knew how to unite people around him. In early March 2021, Yurii joined the 81st separate airmobile brigade. With the start of the full-scale war, the man continued to defend Ukraine on the hottest fronts. "Yurii loved life, loved playing football... Kyselev football will mourn such a loss... Unfortunately, he didn't have time to get married, become a father, and raise children. He didn't have time to see the vast and beautiful world. He didn't have time to do so much...", the Kyselev community noted. Yurii left behind his grandfather and parents.
