Yurii M. Vasiura (INdol)

Soldier Yuriy Vasyura (call sign INdol) was killed on March 13, 2024 while performing a combat mission near the village of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region. The defender was 49 years old. Yuriy was born in the village of Lhovske in Crimea. He graduated from the local school there. In 1998, he moved to the city of Pryluki in the Chernihiv region. He worked various jobs. His last place of work was the WOG gas station. In his free time, he was engaged in sports, particularly cycling. He loved to grow grapes. The man was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine on June 30, 2022. He served in the 80th separate airborne assault Galician brigade. He held the position of a crew member of the artillery unit of the artillery battery of the air-mobile battalion. He took the call sign in honor of the name of the river in his native village of Lhovske, where he caught his first fish - a gudgeon. "Yura is the closest person to me, a beloved, a friend, a wonderful father for the children. It is painful to realize that you will no longer see, hug, talk, or hear the native voice, advice. This is pain. Pain that kills..." - shared the wife of the fallen. The military man was buried in the "Novyi Pobut" cemetery in the city of Pryluki. At home, Yuriy was awaited by his wife Svitlana, daughter Anastasia and son Mykyta.
