Yurii O. Dyshliuk (Kosmos)

Soldier Yuriy Dyshlyuk (call sign Kosmos) was killed on August 25, 2023 near the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region. While performing his duties, he sustained fatal injuries during an enemy mortar attack. He would have turned 31 on September 18. Yuriy was from the city of Obukhiv in the Kyiv region. He obtained incomplete higher education at the Bogomolets National Medical University, where he studied at the Faculty of Dentistry. In peacetime, he worked as a driver at various enterprises. He loved to fish and catch crayfish. He was interested in medicine. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the ranks of the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 46th Separate Airmobile Brigade. He was a combat medic. "I can't believe I lost you. Is this really true? Bunny, I love you so much... Inconsolable pain and sadness haunt me wherever I am. Sometimes I can't find a place for myself and start trembling and howling that you are not with us, that I don't hear you... No! There is no more peace, time does not heal and does not make me stronger, it only gave the countdown of days in memory of you until the end of my days... Know that I and our daughter will always remember you smiling and sincere. Rest in peace, our Hero," wrote the fallen defender's wife. The military was buried in his hometown. At home, Yuriy was awaited by his wife Aliona and daughter Alina, who was born in 2022. He was posthumously awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of the City of Obukhiv."
