- Senior soldier Yurii Lysiuk (call sign Fox) was killed on March 5, 2024 near the settlement of Illinka in Donetsk region. During the performance of a combat mission, the warrior received a fatal wound. He would have turned 28 years old in May. Yurii was born in the village of Buriakivka, Zhytomyr region. After school, he received secondary specialized education at the Pulyny Vocational Lyceum, where he obtained the qualification of a driver-tractor operator. He worked as a sawmill operator at the STOV "Zapovit". He was passionate about football since childhood. On February 24, 2022, on the first day of the full-scale invasion, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade, holding the position of driver. In May 2022, he was captured by the invaders and spent 100 days in captivity. After the exchange, he went back to the front. For his service, he was awarded the "Veteran of War" badge. "I am very proud of him, he is my Hero," said his sister Yana. The defender was buried in the settlement of Pulyny, Zhytomyr region. Yurii is survived by his parents and sister.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
