Yurii O. Oliinyk (Aiaks, Kipish)

Soldier Yuriy Oliynyk (call sign Kipish) was killed on July 8, 2023 in the area of the village of Pryyutne, Zaporizhzhia region. While carrying out a combat mission, he received fatal injuries as a result of enemy artillery shelling. The defender was 36 years old. Yuriy was born and lived in Zaporizhzhia. He graduated from the Zaporizhzhia State Engineering Academy. He worked at the city oil extraction plant as a 4th grade granulation operator. He devoted all his free time to his family and his little daughter Nicole. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Yuriy voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine to protect his family and the territorial integrity of Ukraine. He served in the 111th battalion of the 110th separate brigade of the territorial defense. He was a shooter. "From the very beginning until the last day of his life, he was on the zero positions, in the very hell of war. His comrades-in-arms noted that he was a true warrior, brave, courageous and courageous. In difficult battles, he repeatedly achieved success in fulfilling the assigned tasks. Fulfilling his duty, he was a true example of courage and indomitable spirit for his comrades-in-arms," said the military's wife Natalia. "Yuriy is a man with a capital letter. There are very few like him. He is brave, courageous, very positive," added his sister-in-law Marina Grebtsova. The warrior was buried in the cemetery of St. Matthew in Zaporizhzhia. At home, Yuriy was awaited by his parents, wife, daughter, relatives and friends.
