"Until the last, I believed that you were alive, that there was some mistake, because you were the best. You made us happy. Even when it was difficult for you, you supported us. When he understood that this might be his last day, he still only talked about us, not about what was troubling him. You promised that you would come home and walk at my wedding. But this will never happen. I love you, Dad," wrote the warrior's daughter, Elizaveta. "In the difficult years for the country, Yuriy Oleksiyovych, without hesitation, stood up for its defense, giving the most valuable thing - his life - for the freedom and independence of Ukraine. He was a patriot, a conscientious serviceman, always kept the equipment and weapons entrusted to him in good condition, and was a good friend to his comrades-in-arms.
