Yurii S. Protsenko (Prots)

Soldier Yuriy Protsenko (call sign Prots) was killed on February 26, 2022, in a battle on the outskirts of Severodonetsk, Luhansk region. He received fatal injuries during enemy shelling. The warrior remained 21 years old forever. Yuriy was born in the village of Prybuzhzhia, Mykolaiv region. He stu at the Mishkovo-Pohorilivska comprehensive school. Then he graduated from the Mykolaiv Legal Lyceum. He also mastered the profession of electric welder at the Voznesensk Professional Lyceum No. 18. At the time of the full-scale war, the guy was serving in the 79th separate airborne assault brigade. He held the position of gunner. From February 24, 2022, together with the unit, he defended the forward positions of the Eastern direction. "He was an extraordinarily good, gentle, and caring son, as well as a reliable brother," said the mother of the fallen warrior, Nataliya Ivanivna. Yuriy was buried in the village of Oleksandrivka in Mykolaiv region. He is survived by his mother and younger brother. Posthumously, the paratrooper was awarded the Order of "Courage" III degree .
