Yurii V. Aksionov (Yuzik)

Senior Sergeant Yuriy Aksyonov (call sign Yuzik) was killed on December 18, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 51 years old. Yuriy was born in the village of Kamyanka, Zhytomyr region. He stuwas killed at the Popilnya school. Then he graduated from the Kozetatyn Railway College. He settled in Kyiv. He worked at a company that installs air conditioners in electric trains. He was fond of hunting and loved outdoor recreation. During the full-scale invasion, the man fought for Ukraine in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a fighter of the 23rd separate special purpose battalion of the separate presidential brigade named after Bohdan Khmelnytsky. "Yura was a wonderful person. A cheerful, loving, caring man and father. He always helped everyone who needed his help. We had many common plans for the future, but it was not to be. This terrible war took your life and destroyed mine. My beloved! You will always live in my heart! You are the best thing that happened in my life. I love you and will remember you. I believe that our souls will meet again and be together," wrote the wife of the fallen Valentyna.The defender was buried in the Alley of Glory of the Heroes of the Forest Cemetery in Kyiv.At home, Yuriy was awaited by his mother, wife and two sons.
