Yurii V. Bryzh (Mekhanik)

Soldier Yuriy Bryzhenko (call sign Mekhanik) was killed on September 17, 2023 near the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region. During the performance of a combat mission, he came under enemy fire and received fatal injuries. On August 26, the defender turned 22 years old. Yuriy was born in the village of Triskyny in the Rivne region. After finishing the village school, he studied to become a mechanic in Kyiv. Since he was very passionate about cars, he earned a living by doing what he loved - repairing sports racing cars. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the defense of the capital, joining the 241st separate brigade of the territorial defense. Later, he was transferred to the 47th separate mechanized brigade "Mahura". He served in intelligence. "We served together in the 241st brigade, Yura was always cheerful, friendly, and brave," said his comrade-in-arms. The young hero was buried in his native village. Yuriy is survived by his mother, brothers, sisters, relatives, friends, and comrades-in-arms.
