- Yuriy Volodymyrovych Bublik was born on October 26, 1979, in the city of Horodok in Lviv Oblast. From December 1997 to April 1999, he served in the Ukrainian border troops. On February 2, 2023, Junior Sergeant Yuriy Bublik was called up for military service in the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine as part of mobilization. On February 16, 2023, as part of the combined detachment "Volyn," the border guard was dispatched to the area of the 11th border detachment — in the Donetsk direction. Junior Sergeant Yuriy Bublik participated in the improvement of positions and their preparation for defensive combat in the area of the city of Bakhmut. Despite difficult weather conditions, constant enemy assaults, and shelling, the border guard steadfastly held the designated positions of the unit. On February 21, 2023, in the city of Bakhmut, while covering his comrades during the evacuation of the wounded and moving to reserve positions, Yuriy Bublik took the main enemy fire upon himself. As a result of a massive enemy shelling, Yuriy sustained numerous injuries from which he died on the battlefield. For his personal courage and selfless actions demonstrated in defending the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and his loyalty to the military oath, Junior Sergeant Yuriy Volodymyrovych Bublik was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" III class.Memory Book of the MIA System
