Yurii V. Mikhieiev (Molfar)

Junior Sergeant Yurii Mikheiev (call sign Molphar) was killed on October 26, 2022, during an enemy mortar attack near the settlement of Maiorsk in the Donetsk region. A month before his death, the defender turned 25 years old. The warrior was born in the city of Novovolynsk in Volyn. He graduated from secondary school No. 2, after which he enrolled in the National University of "Lviv Polytechnic." Since childhood, he dreamed of being a military man. He was passionate about sports and technology, especially cars and motorcycles. He loved nature, enjoyed fishing, and foraged for mushrooms in the forest. He made knives and other items, and sewed cases. He was a jack-of-all-trades. This skill came in handy when he worked in Finland and Sweden. When the full-scale war began, Yurii could not stay on the sidelines. On February 25, 2022, he volunteered to defend his homeland. He served in the 5th Separate Assault Brigade of the Special Operations Forces, holding the position of commander of a combat vehicle in the assault platoon of the assault company. "He was truly a good person, the flower of the nation, without exaggeration," wrote his relative Yana Sluchuk about the fallen. The defender was buried in the village of Movnyky in the Volyn region. Yurii is survived by his parents, brother, and relatives.
