Yurii V. Nazaruk

Yuriy Volodymyrovich Nazaruk was born on April 28, 1992 in the village of Sokil, Rozhyshche district, Volyn region. From March 2015, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) on the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. In June 2016, the personnel of the reconnaissance group under the command of Yuriy Nazaruk carried out tasks to detain sabotage and reconnaissance groups of terrorists in the area of the village of Vodiane. During the operation, three terrorists were killed and eight were taken prisoner with samples of weapons and personal documents. During the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, he took part in battles for the cities of Irpin, Bucha, carried out combat missions in Zaporizhzhia and Mykolaiv regions, and was one of the defenders of Mariupol. He was killed on June 2, 2022, while carrying out combat missions in Sievierodonetsk, Luhansk region. He was buried on June 6, 2022 at the Baikove Cemetery in Kyiv.
