Yurii V. Omelchuk

Soldier Yuriy Omelchuk was killed on December 19, 2022, during offensive actions as a result of enemy mortar shelling near the village of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region. The defender was 30 years old. Yuriy was born in the village of Kozak, Rivne region. He stuwas killed at the Richkivska school. He obtained the profession of a carpenter at the Sosnovskyi vocational school. He worked as a landscape designer. He loved his job very much. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He fought as part of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo. "The man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a volunteer on February 25, 2022, spent over 7 months in the guard company of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, then transferred to the 24th Brigade and defended our country in the Donetsk region. He was killed on December 19 during offensive actions in the settlement of Klishchiyivka. The children were left without a caring father, and I - without a beloved husband. This is an unspeakable pain forever, when the younger child is just beginning to speak (age 1 year 9 months), and will never say such a warm word as 'dad'. But he is with us forever, in our thoughts and hearts. We are proud that our dad is a Hero. Unfortunately, Heroes die, but it is our duty to preserve the eternal and bright memory of them!" - said the wife of the fallen soldier. The serviceman was buried in the village of Richky, Rivne region. Yuriy is survived by his wife Marina, son Stanislav 2015 and daughter Adriana.
