Yurii V. Pohorilyi

Pogorily Yuriy Viktorovych was born on March 2, 1976 in the city of Merefa in the Kharkiv region. In 1993, he graduated from Merefyanska School No. 1. From 1993 to 1997, he studied at the Kharkiv Institute of Pilots. In 2011, he served in the 299th Tactical Aviation Brigade of the Air Force Command "South". He lived and worked in Ivano-Frankivsk. From 2015 to 2018, he headed the 114th Tactical Aviation Brigade. From 2018 to 2022, he led the department for the training of military aviation units in the Air Force Command (Vinnytsia). He died on August 8, 2022 in a helicopter crash of the Mi-2 aircraft. He was buried on August 15, 2022 in the Alley of Glory in the village of Chukalivka, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
