Yurii V. Sinichenko (Malyi)

28-year-old soldier Yurii Sinichenko was killed on September 8, 2022 in the hospital. On May 26, during the performance of a combat mission in the Donetsk region, he received a severe shrapnel wound to the head. After that, he was in a coma in hospitals in Dnipro, Kyiv, and Vinnytsia. He underwent several operations. Doctors fought for the warrior's life for 4 months. Yurii was born in the village of Mykulyntsi, Vinnytsia region. He studied at the local school. From a young age, he paid a lot of attention to sports, repeatedly taking prize places in football and Horting competitions. In 2012, he graduated from the Vinnytsia Interregional Higher Vocational School, where he obtained the specialty of a computer typist, an electromechanic for the repair and maintenance of counting and computing machines. In 2015-2016, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2018-2019, Yurii participated in the Russian-Ukrainian war. He fought on the territory of the Joint Forces Operation. His comrades-in-arms called him Yurko or Malyi. With the start of the full-scale war, the man took up arms again to defend Ukraine from the invaders. He held the position of a shooter in the 120th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He fought in the Donetsk region. During his service, the military was repeatedly awarded by the command. In July 2022, soldier Yurii Sinichenko was awarded the medal "For Military Service to Ukraine". "I am the wife of Yurchyk's comrade, with whom he grew up and was friends all his life. Yurchyk is the brightest person I have ever met. He always smiled, brought positivity, helped, was a reliable support and support for everyone," said Alina Petlinska. Yurii was buried in his native village. His parents and brother were waiting for him at home. He did not have time to start his own family.
