- Soldier Yuriy Stasyshyn (call sign Haitaver) died on July 16, 2024 near the village of Torske in the Donetsk region. During the performance of a combat mission, he received numerous shrapnel and explosive wounds. The warrior is now forever 35 years old. Yuriy was born in St. Petersburg (Russia). However, later he returned to Ukraine with his mother and lived in the village of Polivtsi in the Ternopil region. He studied at the Chortkiv Higher Vocational School, where he obtained the profession of painter-plasterer. After graduating from the school, he served in the army. The man was interested in everything related to technology. He liked to make something with his own hands, and he was very good at it. He also loved music very much. Most of his life, the man worked abroad, and in March 2022 he returned to Ukraine and voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 45th Separate Artillery Brigade, was an operator-scout of the artillery fire adjustment unit. "Yura's lifestyle was simple and positive. Regardless of where he was and what he was doing, he always overcame difficulties thanks to his calm character and humor (which everyone admired). My older brother understood well how he wanted to live and how to perform any job better. The soul of our family and any company. A reliable support and a wonderful advisor. In the war, he was dedicated to protecting his family and country. It is impossible to describe in words the pain that we all feel from this loss. We really miss Yura. The memory of him will be with us forever, because his courage and resilience show us what it means to be a true warrior," his younger brother Artur said. "Yura's loss has become an unspeakable pain for everyone who knew him. He was a wonderful person who could always be relied upon, and a true man," said the deceased's girlfriend Maria. The defender was buried in the village of Polivtsi. He left behind a daughter, parents, three younger brothers and a beloved girlfriend.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
