- Born on October 15, 1972, in the village of Stepanivka (part of the village of Chornobayivka) in the Bilozerka district of the Kherson region (in 1986, the village was separated from Chornobayivka and became subordinate to the Suvorov district of the city of Kherson). Ukrainian. In 1987, he graduated from the 8th grade of the Stepanivka village secondary school (now - Stepanivka General Education School I-III degrees No. 17 of the Kherson City Council), and in 1990 - from the special vocational technical school No. 2 in the city of Kherson (now - State Educational Institution "Higher Vocational School No. 2 of the city of Kherson") with a specialty in "broad profile machinist." From October 1990 to 1992, he served in the Armed Forces of the USSR/Russian Federation, drafted by the Suvorov district military commissariat of the city of Kherson. He served in a military unit in the city of Irkutsk (Russian Federation). After the army, he served in the fire protection service. He worked as a driver for the 8th militarized fire department protecting the Open Joint Stock Company "Kherson Oil Refinery." Since 2011, he has been retired. In 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a driver for the reactive artillery battery of the reactive artillery division of the 17th separate guards tank brigade of the Red Banner and Suvorov orders of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A3283, city of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region). From September 5, 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. He was a participant in the battles for the city of Debaltseve in the Donetsk region. On March 4, 2015, sergeant Zubov died near the city of Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region, close to the village of Pokrovske in the Artemivsk (now Bakhmut) district of the Donetsk region.
