Yurii Ya. Hutarov (Anarkhist)

Lieutenant Yuriy Hutarov (call sign Anarchist) was killed on December 31, 2023 while performing a combat mission near the village of Verbove in the Zaporizhia region. He came under enemy fire and drone-dropped grenades. The officer is now forever 31 years old. Yuriy was born and lived in Odesa. He graduated from the Odesa State Academy of Technical Regulation and Quality, where he obtained the qualification of a metrologist engineer. In civilian life, he worked as a storekeeper at the St. Catherine's Clinic. He loved and collected books by Stephen King. He was also passionate about board and virtual games. During the full-scale invasion, the man fought for his country in the ranks of the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the commander of a platoon of the 87th separate airmobile battalion. "He was an incredibly caring, loving father and husband, a faithful and good friend, a responsible employee. He is forever with us, and we are forever with him," shared the officer's wife, Victoria. The defender was buried at the Western Cemetery in Odesa. The hero left behind his parents, wife, and two daughters. Yuriy Hutarov was posthumously awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky III degree.
