Yurii Yu. Khromaliuk (Maliuk)

Yuriy Khromalyuk (call sign Malyuk), a soldier, died on June 18, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the settlement of Novodonets'ke in the Donetsk region. The defender's life was cut short by enemy artillery fire. The warrior was 30 years old. Yuriy was born in the village of Kopiivka, Vinnytsia region. He graduated from the Illinets Agrarian Professional College with a degree in "Forestry". He worked as a housekeeper at the Kopiivka branch of the Dashiv Lyceum. Later, he started working abroad. During the full-scale war, the man joined the ranks of the Ukrainian Navy to protect his home and native country from the enemy. He fought against the occupiers as part of the 37th Separate Marines Brigade. He was a platoon commander. "He was a responsible person, hardworking, and always supportive. We will not have such a commander as him again," his comrades-in-arms noted. Yuriy was buried in his native village. At home, his parents, sister, son, and other relatives and friends were waiting for him.
