Yurii Yu. Ostapiuk

Soldier Yuriy Ostapyuk was killed in action while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Novoselivka in Donetsk region. The fighter was 23 years old. Yuriy was born in the village of Mykulychyn, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He graduated from the local comprehensive school. He was actively engaged in sports, particularly loved football. He was fond of traveling through the picturesque Carpathians by jeep. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Yuriy took up the defense of his native country in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after General Chorunzhy Mark Bezruchko. He was a grenade launcher. "After the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he did not hesitate for a moment, but bravely rushed to defend his native country, his native village, as he was a patriot and a conscious citizen. Yuriy was very brave, purposeful, kind, fearless, always moving forward, was an ideal warrior. He was also a good and loving son, a good brother, a caring uncle. He was jovial, the soul of the company, had many friends, everyone loved and respected him very much. He was always ready to help, was sincere and life-affirming. He could have lived and built a family, but the war cut short his life at the age of 24. We all miss him very much... Glory to the heroes, Heroes never die. We will never forget and miss him very much. He will forever remain in our hearts!" - shared the nephew and brother-in-law of the deceased Volodymyr. The defender was buried in his native village. Yuriy is survived by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
