Yurii Yu. Siliuk

Soldier Yuriy Silyuk (call sign Yurich) was killed on April 26, 2024 near the village of Arkhanhel'ske in the Donetsk region. The warrior was evacuating wounded comrades from the battlefield when an enemy FPV drone hit the windshield of the evacuation vehicle. The defender sustained fatal injuries. He was 49 years old. Yuriy was born in Lutsk. After finishing secondary school, he enrolled in Vocational School No. 9, where he obtained the specialty of a universal machine operator. He was passionate about photography, videography, and film editing. He worked as a video operator for local and nationwide TV channels. He was a biker for over 15 years. During the full-scale war, he defended the country as part of the 100th Separate Mechanized Brigade. He held the position of a fire support company team member. For his service, the warrior was awarded the "Valor Badge" by the commander of the Lyman operational-tactical group, the "War Veteran" badge, and the "For the Defense of Bakhmut" medal. "Dad was brave and would never have done otherwise, he was going to rescue his comrades," said his daughter Viktoria. The defender was buried in the village of Harazdzha in Volyn. Yuriy is survived by his parents, brother, daughter, and two granddaughters.
