Biography
Zakharny Andriyovych Kvasnyi was born on August 13, 1999, in the village of Ruda, Kamianets-Podilskyi District, Khmelnytskyi Region. He studied at Kamianets-Podilskyi Educational Complex No. 3. In 2014, at the age of 14, he firmly decided to become a military man. He graduated from the Kamianets-Podilskyi Lyceum with enhanced military and physical training. He obtained his military education at the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi. In 2021, he took command of the engineering and sapper platoon of the 70th Engineering Support Center. He was sent to one of the units of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to carry out a combat mission in the suburbs of Kyiv. On February 25, 2022, after completing the assigned task of blowing up a bridge to block the passage of the enemy columns in the area of Irpin, the engineering barriers platoon was attacked by the armed forces of the Russian Federation. As a result of the attack, Zakharny Kvasnyi did not return to the designated gathering point. He is survived by his mother, brother, and fiancée. He is buried in the Alley of Glory at the city cemetery in Kamianets-Podilskyi.Burial place
