- 36-year-old Dmytro Tkachuk was killed in action on April 15, 2022, in the vicinity of the village of Nizhne in the Luhansk region. The defender came under fire from enemy "Grads" and on the spot along with his comrade-in-arms. Dmytro was born in the village of Varvarivka, Khmelnytskyi region. He spent almost his entire life in the city of Rivne. There he graduated from the International Economics and Humanities University named after Academician Stepan Demianchuk. He worked for a long time at customs. Then he found a job in a chain of shopping centers. With the start of the full-scale war, Dmytro immediately joined the Territorial Defense Forces in Rivne, but they did not take him. Then the man organized a patrol of the house on his own and tried to be useful to his state in every way. Already in March, Dmytro joined the ranks of the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Kosh Ataman Kost Gordienko. The man went to defend Ukraine from Russian invaders. However, a month later, he was killed in the Novoaidar district of Luhansk region. "As a rule, nothing bad is ever said about the deceased, but Dima is one of those cases where nothing bad even comes to mind. He was a very positive, life-loving person, had many friends. Even when he already understood that he was in the epicenter of events, Dima remained positive and confident, constantly repeating: "Everything will be Ukraine!" He had a passionate heart that sought justice, and a sincere soul that never refused help," said his sister Alyona. The defender was buried in the city of Polonne, Khmelnytskyi region, where his parents live. Dmytro also left behind an 11-year-old daughter.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
