Ігор Олександрович. Шлямар

Born on July 6, 1969, in the city of Uman, Cherkasy region. Graduated from secondary school No. 10 in Uman and vocational technical school No. 36 in Uman (now the State Educational Institution "Uman Professional Agrarian Lyceum"). Served mandatory military service in the ranks of the Armed Forces of the USSR. On August 15, 2014, mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the Uman Combined City Military Commissariat of the Cherkasy region. Served as the chief sergeant of the platoon - commander of the squad of the 1st company of the 1st mechanized battalion of the 53rd separate mechanized brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit V0927, cities of Severodonetsk/Lysychansk, Luhansk region). Since 2014, participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On May 25, 2015, around 12:00 in the Luhansk region near the border with the Russian Federation, on territory controlled by Ukraine, a medical vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine UAZ-"tablet", which was carrying two servicemen from the village of Komyshne to the village of Syze in the Stanytsia Luhanska district, was ambushed and shot at by militants with automatic weapons. As a result of the shelling, Senior Sergeant Shlyamar received a serious gunshot wound to the back and died during transportation to the hospital. On May 28, 2015, he was buried in the city cemetery in Uman.
