- Junior Lieutenant Oleksandr Tsybulskyi (call sign Tsyba) was killed on May 11, 2024 near the settlement of Nevelske in the Donetsk region. He sustained fatal injuries during enemy shelling of positions with VOG and mortars. The officer was 42 years old. Oleksandr was born in Odesa. In childhood, he moved with his parents to Chernivtsi, where he lived the rest of his life. He graduated from the Lviv Medical Professional College "Monade" and mastered the profession of a dental technician. In civilian life, he worked in the dental laboratory "AlterDentLab". He was passionate about sports tourism, rock climbing, snowboarding, and fishing. On the third day of the full-scale war, on February 26, 2022, the man joined the ranks of the defenders. He served in the 107th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the commander of the 94th battalion. For his service, the soldier was awarded the following awards: "Golden Cross", "For Service to the State", the award of the head of the regional command of the Territorial Defense Forces, and the Order of Courage of the III degree. "An incredible man, friend, and comrade. He taught his friends and later his subordinates all the skills he possessed himself. From the first days of service, he organized training, and these skills, according to his comrades, saved their lives more than once. He was constantly with the guys on the position and used every opportunity to save or protect them. He took on the most difficult operations, responded first to tasks, which motivated others and they followed him. At the memorial dinner, they noted that they had lost a piece of their soul. But remembering civilian life, for him it was the norm: he saved a friend from drowning, evacuated a wounded friend from a difficult mountain area (when he was part of a tourist category hike), saved a bird from a pear tree that physically no one would have climbed, not to mention chicks, kittens, pigeons..." - the officer's wife Inna said. The defender was buried at the Godyliv cemetery near Chernivtsi. Oleksandr is survived by his mother, sister, wife and son.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
