45-year-old defender Volodymyr Prystupa was killed on November 29, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the area of the village of Bakhmutske in the Donetsk region. Volodymyr was born in the village of Chapaevka, Zaporizhzhia region. He obtained the profession of a manual arc welder of the 3rd category at the Vocational School No. 26 in Dniprorodnye. He worked as an underground section passer at the Zaporizhzhia Iron Ore Plant. In his free time, he loved to play football. He lived in the village of Mala Bilozerka, Zaporizhzhia region, and played for the local team. He had awards for championships. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man defended Ukraine as part of the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade "Kholodnyi Yar". "Dad, you were the best in the world for us, the best support and a good grandfather. Life without you is divided into 'before' and 'after'. Our dear dad, how will we manage without you now? You will forever remain in our hearts, smiling, kind and courageous," said the warrior's daughter Anna. "Such a good, selfless, always with a smile. We deeply regret our hero," wrote acquaintance Aliona Svitlychna. The defender was buried at the Kushuhum cemetery near Zaporizhzhia. At home, his wife, children, and grandchildren were waiting for Volodymyr.
