Anatolii F. Sachaniuk

Soldier Anatoliy Sachaniuk was killed on January 8, 2024, while carrying out a combat mission in the Kupiansk direction of the Kharkiv region. The warrior was 40 years old. Anatoliy was born in the village of Zabolottia, Volyn region, in a large family. From childhood, he showed abilities in art, particularly in music and had a good voice. His parents sent him to a music school, where he learned to play the guitar. In adulthood, he began to paint. After the 9th grade, he went with his father to work in construction. Later, he served in the military. After the army, he worked in the village, then moved to Lutsk, where he tried different jobs: he was a tiler, engaged in facade insulation, and worked at a brick factory. He got married. A few years later, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation. In civilian life, he loved to work and relax. He went fishing, swam, liked to relax with his children, travel, ride a bicycle, and communicate with friends. On Epiphany, he always bathed in an ice hole, and he was hardened. The man's last job was at "Nova Poshta," where he started in early February 2022. However, on February 24, the man was already standing in line at the military enlistment office, not waiting for the summons. He joined the ranks of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great. He took part in the liberation of the Kyiv and Kharkiv regions. For over a year, the brigade held positions in the Kupiansk area. However, Anatoliy did not tell his family the details of his combat path. "He was a very good person, a good husband. Besides me, he had three girls: my daughter Viktoria, Tolik was like a real father to her, and to our two common daughters, Daryna and Yulia, he was the best dad. Viktoria has already given us three grandchildren. The comrades-in-arms said that Anatoliy saved other soldiers, constantly helped them. He was very skilled, lucky, and got out of various difficult situations. They could not believe that he had was killed," said the wife of the deceased, Maria. The defender was buried in his native Volyn. A large loving family and many friends were waiting for him at home.
